This is a magazine advert that we created to promote our music video and band. The colours and fonts used reflect the ones used in the digipak. We used the image of the lead vocalist of the band, from our video, as a promoting tool. Real media products would also use this technique to sell products and make people aware of their products.

Making a digi pack
This first image shows the title and band name been added, we used the same font on both but different sizes. we decided that the colours used should be red and black, most of the writing is filled with red and outlined with black apart from three letters in black so that is would stand out more. The colours used are also used on the poster because we wanted the same style and theme to be used to make our products similar and recognisable. This next image shows the shapes been added for the band logo, this is also the same colours of red and black. The logo had to resized for the album cover because we didn't want it take up too much room and also we didn't want it to be the main focus on the cover. |
We then added the age restriction at the top of the cover because some of the songs contained words that may not have been suitable for younger listeners.
For the back page we wanted to keep the on going theme of the the matching front and colours so the songs title are mixture of black and red. The moon shapes than we used for our logo have also been used so there wouldn't be any dead space and also it would relate to the front cover more. To make it look more professional we added are bar code and price to the back cover.
For the inside pages of the digi pack we decided to put in the lyrics and more images of the music video, on the first inside page we used three image and put them along the bottom of the page; two images of the full band and one of the singer close up and then we applied a black boarder around it. We tried to make every image interesting in some why and tried to prevent them looking too similar by small amounts of colour, using effects on the images and also adding boarders. We the put all the pages together with a total 15 pages including the front and back page.
